ARTHUR BARNETT GUP CAMPBELL SETS NEW RECORD One of the most important events of the Dunedin Archery Club’s season was the A grade team shoot for the Arthur Barnett Cup. Four teams, each consisting of three men and one woman, competed, and the Olympic round was shot. The winning team registered a score of 2,542 (R. Campbell 744, C. Pickard 652, H. Miles 632, and Miss Eunice Miles 514), R. Dunue’s team, with 2,462, was second. F. Wheeler’s team scored 2,256 and H. Butel’s 2,245. Campbell’s score ot 744 constitutes a new Australian and New Zealand record for this round, replacing H. Butel’s record of 726, which recently replaced Australia’s record of 720. The world record is 808. Other good scores were: H. Butel 702, R. Dunne 664, and N. Rodgerson 650.
