AIR ONSLAUGHT ON BELGRADE (By Radio.) LONDON, 'April IS. It is now learnt that there wer® more than 12,000 casualties in the Nazi air raids on Belgrade. The dead were piled up in hundreds in the city squares. German airmen mercilessly machinegunned the population in an endeavour to get them on the run. Independent eye-witnesses declare that the destruction in Warsaw and in Rotterdam was as nothing compared with the damage in Belgrade. It is also learnt that in the early attacks on Yugoslavia of one division of 700 tanks at least 200 were destroyed by the Yugoslavs.
