SOVIET-IRAN TENSION
THE BORDER CLOSED TOKIO, April 17. (Received April 18, at 11.20 a.m.) According to a Domei Agency broadcast, large detachments of Iranian troops are moving towards the Soviet border, and all roads leading to the border are closed. The increasing Soviet-Iran tension is said to be the result of recent large-scale Soviet military manoeuvres near the Iran border.
