Daily Intercession
Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Behold the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him; upon them that hope in His mercy.—(Read Isaiah xl.) O Lord God, give to our soldiers the spirit of discipline and the spirit of justice, that they may worthily perform Thy commands. Grant that they may never have to draw the sword, but at Thy bidding, nor, when they have drawn it, to use it as Thy sword. Yet, above all, we pray Thee so to direct and govern the wills of the nations and their rulers, that the world may have peace in the service of the Prince of Peace, ]esus Christ our Lord. — Amen.
