THE AMENDMENT BILL [Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 9. The provincial secretary of the Ma-kara-Hutt Valley executive of the New; Zealand Farmers’ Union, Mr o.' G. Thomas, said to-day that, judging from the letter he had received from Mr Nash in reply to the one to him as M.P; for Hu’tt, it would appear that the Government intended proceeding with the Small Farms Amendment Bill. Mr Thomas said he was therefore making this information public for the benefit of farmers, and - quoted Mr Nash as writing before this Bill was brought down by the Government that it had received detailed attention, and it was not until after it had been thoroughly considered that the Government had introduced it as being a Bill in the publio interest of New Zealand. The objections contained in the Makara-Hutt Valley executive’s resolution had been noted.
