FAVOURABLE CONDITIONS
STATE OF BEACHES WARM WEATHER SHOULD ATTRACT BATHERS A continuation of the conditions prevailing this morning should attract many surfing devotees to the beaches over the week-end. The wind during the last day or two freshened up the water slightly, but the temperature* are fairly mild. St. Baida beach is in good condition, though bathers are warned to exercise care, as there are one or two holes on either side of the entrance to the beach. There is very little rip, and as the safety zone will be nagged bathers are urged to keep to this area. There is a slight channel near the shore at St. Clair beach, and a slight rip has been experienced. The sea is moderating, however, and good bathing conditions may be expected., The Tomahawk beach is in good order, and there is a moderate sea. Tomorrow afternoon, members of the Tomahawk Sea Scouts, who have already done good work in this connection, will take up a penny collection for the Spitfire fund. - 1. r The Brighton beach is in first-class condition, being flat and smooth and varying little from week to week. Th* sea is smooth and the water mild.
