WOOL APPRAISEMENT

BETTER PRICES FOR SKIRTED [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 8. The Wellington Woolbrokers’ Association reports that the first Wellington appraisement was completed yesterday with 6,004 hales. ( The hulk was hogget wool, which opened for display attractively. The clips from the Alanawatu district are exceptionally well grown. It is noticeable that wools that are skirted are realising hotter prices. Unskirtod is definitely on a lower basis than last season, and now growers are receiving full compensation for paying every attention to the get-up of their clips.
