First Church was the scene of a very iretty wedding on the evening of darc'h 1. Marjorie Dawn, only daugher of Mr and Mrs A. J. Bryan, of Dunedin, was married to Stanley lames, fourth sou of the late Mr Freenan and Mrs Freeman, South Dunedin, ’he church was decorated with pink md cream gladioli and lilies. The eremony was performed by the Rev. Ulen W. Stevely, while Miss Mavis d‘Donald presided at the organ. Durng the signing of the register Miss ?ina M'Dona'.d rendered the solo ‘ The loly City.’ The bride, escorted by her ather, made a charming picture in a ;own of French ivory lace and satin ut on slimming lines and featuring leart-shapcd neckline with panelled iack failing into a long court train, ler beautifully embroidered veil of iearl net fell softly from a topknot of vory velvet flowers. She carried a heat of Hlium auratum, begonias, and naidenhair fern. Her only ornament vas a triple string of pearls, the gift of be bridegroom.

The bridesmaids, Misses June Rose and Rona King, wore dainty frocks of pale green, and pink hailstone net respectively, made with heart-shaped necklines and very full skirts edged with pleated frill. Their taffeta underskirts were trimmed with lavender ribbons, finished in the front with small bows. They wore topknots of pink and lavender flowers with matching shoul-der-length veils tipped with silver. Their bouquets were of lavender clematis and pink begonias. Each wore a crystal necklet, the bridegroom’s gift. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Robert Freeman, as best man, and Mr Fergus M'Cay as groomsman, while Messrs Jack Bryan and Jim Haleis acted as ushers. After the ceremony a reception was hold at the Crawford Lounge, where Mrs Bryan, assisted by Mrs Freeman, received over 90 guests. The bride’s mother wore a frock of teal blue embossed georgette with nigger brown hat and fox furs, and carried a bouquet of dahlias in pink tonings. The bridegroom’s mother wore a smart black ensemble with matching hat and accessories. She chose a bouquet of red dahlias and roses.

For travelling the bride wore a frock of dusky pink with navy accessories and a musquash fur coat. Prior to her marriage the bride was entertained at “gift’’- evenings by Miss Joyce M'Grogor, Miss Roma Smith, Mrs F. Garner, and Miss Rona King.
