RELAXATION OF RESTRICTIONS SOUGHT [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 22. Tire council of the New Zealand Institute of Architects decided to-day to co-operate with representatives of the building industry in an effort to obtain necessary easement of import control on essential building materials for which there are no substitutes made in the Dominion. It was held that if the restrictions continued as at present, much unemployment would be caused, with a corres- , ponding increase in the charges on the / public funds. As building was a very important key industry, it was necessary to keep it going at a reasonable rata for the national welfare. . Mr J. M. Dawson (Wellington) wa» unanimously re-elected president of tha institute. The next annual meeting will be held at Auckland.
