SALVATION ARMY APPEAL.
TO TEE EDITOR. Sir, : —Once again wo have the winter months iipon us, and with them comes the need for extra clothing and warmth, especially for the little ones and those who are nearing the eventide of life. There has been a greater demand upon our income during the last three weeks from necessitous cases who have to be tided over a difficult time. There are the sick, who must have firing and a little extra nourishment. We are most grateful to those who have so wonderfully helped us during the past months; many have been helped and encouraged. May I ask for donations of any kind to help further our work among the needy ana less fortunate in our midst?—l am, etc., M. Dickinson, Captain, 37 Dowling street; telephone 13-207. June 3.
