FOUR MEN SENT TO PRISON ORDERED TO REPAY MONEY IN FINES PROSECUTIONS BY LABOUR DEPARTMENT [Per United Press Association.} ' AUCKLAND, February 25. Four men who had made false declarations since the warning was given by Mr Orr Walker, S.M., in May last, were sent to prison to-day when a number of men were by the Labour Department in the Police Court on charges of making false statements and obtaining property by false pretences. Mr Walker ordered the four men sentenced by way of fines to repay the money obtained in excess as follow: Peter Sandham, three weeks’ imprisonment, fine £45; Sydney Jansen, one month’s imprisonment, fine £80; Titus Edward M'Kenna, two weeks’ imprisonment, fine £SO; George Wells, three weeks’ imprisonment, fine £7O.
