WOMEN’S HOCKEY
PERSONNEL OF ALL ENGLAND TEAM THE NEW ZEALAND ITINERARY [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 24. Advice has been received by the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association from the All England’s Women Hockey Association that the following team has been selected to tour New Zealand, commencing in June:— Goal.—G. Huggins (Devon), Backs.—M. E. Collins (Sussex), M. Knott (Kent), I. Naylor (Warwick). Halves.—B. Fairgrieve (Durham), M. I. Lodge (Gloucestershire), K. Thompson (Northumberland), O. Barnes (Lancashire). Forwards.—J. Dowling (Bucks), J. O’Donoghue (Devon), E. Shelmerdine (Gloucestershire), B. W. West (Sussex). J. Wright (Northants), N. E, Judd (Kent). Miss E.. J. Warwick will be manager of the team. One additional player is still to be selected. The itinerary arranged by the New Zealand Association is as follows: June 8, Hamilton (or near association) ; June 11, Auckland; June 15, Nelson; June 18, Christchurch; June 22, Ashburton; June 25, Dunedin; June 29, Alexandra; July 2, Gore; July 6, Christchurch (first test); July 9, Wellington; July 12, Pongaroa; July 14, Feilding; July 16, Wanganui (second test); July 18, Eketahuna; July 21, Wellington (third test).
