TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In view of the correspondence in your columns concerning our professional contests next Monday night, I desire to take this opportunity of publicly expressing my thanks to the writers for their constructive remarks, it is pleasing to know that the efforts of my committee to obtain a worthwhile boxing programme for the public of Dunedin are appreciated, for it has had no easy task in obtaining a programme of such high quality. It is the policy of my association to promote regularly during the coming season, and the forthcoming contest will be the <% forerunner of some outstanding attractions if we secure from the public the support we expect.—l am, etc,, J.
