VISIT Of CANADIANS ...... MEETING AT AUCKLAND [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 10. Mr H. Jcnner Wily, secretary to the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand. Amateur Athletic Association, has received a letter from Air R. M. Robinson, manager of the Canadian team which is competing at the British Empire Gaines in Sydney, agreeing to the appearance of the whole of his team at a meeting to be held at Carlaw Park on the evening of February 21, The Auckland provincial championships will he decided on Saturday week, and the results of these events will enable the selectors to offer strong opposition to the visitors on the following Alonday, more especially as they will be able to call upon the services of the Auckland section of the team which is representing New Zealand at the Empire Games. CAVERSHAM CLUB The Caversham Harrier and A.A. Club held an enjoyable picnic at the Brighton Domain. A committee under the leadership of Messrs Cummings and Dever kept the events up to time. During the morning races were held for young and old, and in the afternoon a cricket match was played between the old members and the new members, resulting in a win for the old members..
