STRIKING TRIBUTE TO SIR A. RUSSELL [Per United Press Association.] AVELLINGTON, Juno 25. The esteem in which Sir Andrew Russell, G.0.C., New Zealand Division in France, is held by returned soldiers was exemplified at the R.S.A. confc-i----ence, when it was stated that a portrait of Sir Andrew was to be hung in the National Art Gallery, but the subscriptions from returned soldiers wore some £2O short. AVithin a few minutes a large sum was subscribed, delegates vying with 1 ' one another for recognition of their districts. It was suggested that miniature prints of tho portrait should bo available, and also larger copies made for individual associations.
