MILK COUNCIL INCREASES PRICES. In response to an appeal by the farmers the Auckland Milk Council decided to-day to increase the wholesale price of milk to lid per gallon during the winter months. The retail price of milk remains unchanged, but there will be a slight increase in the retail price of cream.—Press Association. ATHENS, April B.—The Japanese plane Divine Wind, op arrival here, had covered 8,20.0 miles out of the 10,000 miles from Tokio to London in 71h Bmin. BANK OF NEW ZEALAND. The Board of Directors to-day elected Mr A. T. Donnelly chairman of the Bank of New Zealand. Mr John Dowgray, of Granity, the newly-appointed Government director, was present at the meeting.
