GOOD TEMPLARY

The Rescue Ledge, No. 105, held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday, when Chief Templar Bro.. E. Brooks presided over a large attendance of members. The L.D., Bro. T. Dalton, installedl the P.C.T., Bro. W. M'Curdy, and Guard Bro. Thompson. The following were nominated for recommendation to the G.O.T.: —Superintendent of legislative work, Sister Hazelwood; superintendent of juvenile work, Bro. E. Brooks; assistant superintendent juvenile work, Sister D. Miller. The programme for the evening was ‘ Young Members’ Night,’ when the following programme was presented : Competition, won by Bro. M'Grath; solo, Bro. E. Brooks; duet, Bros. Anderson and R. Morgan; mouth organ solos, Bro. V. Rowe. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring officers, P.C.T. and P.S.s Sister and Bro. Hall. The Star of the South Juvenile Temple, _ No. 15, held a meeting of officers in the Oddfellows’ Hall on Tuesday last. The superintendent, Bro. E. Brooks, presided. It was agreed to reopen the temple on March 2, the meeting to take the form of a social evening. The following officers will officiate for the quarter:—Chief templar, Sister T. Gibbs; vice-templar, Sister P. Hollic; chaplain, Sister Merry; secretary, Sister .1. Fuller; assistant secretary. Sister P. Buudo; F. secretary, Sister C, Herbert; marshal, Bro.
