A thrilling drama was enacted at the inquest on a beautiful girl, a member of one of the most prominent families here, who shot herself on the pavement outside her parents’ home because she was jilted. The girl, Mila Dimitriyevitch, aged 21, during a summer holiday met Zvetozar Stoyanovitch, aged 30, the rich son of an ex-member of the Cabinet, who a few minutes before she committed suicide told her they must part. Mila’is father, while giving evidence at the inquest, whipped out a revolver, fired two shots at Stoyanovitch and then turned the weapon on himself. The former may recover, but the father foil dead. The police placed Stoyano.vitch under protective arrest.
