Lee Martin, on behalf of Mr Langstone, Minister-in-chargo of the Tourist and Publicity Department, announces that in, pursuance of the policy of extending and strengthening overseas publicity and advertising the Government has concluded an arrangement to lease the premises of Filmcraft Ltd. for the purpose of considerablv increasing‘ the production of sound films of New Zealand life and interest, and also to further the output of modem media of all descriptions for oversea display purposes. ' * The staff of Filmcraft will be retained, and Mr R. W. Fenton has been placed in charge of this branch of the department. Mr L. ; J. Schmitt* general manager of the' department, expects to have the new branch fully engaged with its many important duties within the next few days. '■
