BROADCASTING DIRECTOR

NO APPOINTMENT YET [Feu United Press Association.l WELLINGTON, July 3. Rumours that the Government had already made its selection of a Director of Broadcasting were denied by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, in an interview this evening. The Prime Minister, when told that reports were current in Auckland that the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour Jiad been given the appointment, said that naturally the Government had not made any selection because it had not yet advertised the position. Mr Savage, who is Minister of Broadcasting. stated that the Governmentivould advertise in all the main centres in New Zealand and Australia. This would be done next week.
