PRISONERS SENTENCED

MOSTLY HOUSE-BREAKING OFFENCES

[Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH May 1. Prisoners were sentenced by Mr Northcroft to-day as follows: Phillip Geoffrey Brodie, two charges of housebreaking and theft, 12 months, with hard labour. . Thomas Richard Sadler, housebreaking and theft, 12 months’ probation. Edward Marshall and Arthur James Sharp, breaking and entering a shop, 12 months, with hard labour. Frank Ressel and Henry Joseph Gates, on a charge of assault against young girls, two years’ probation. Walter Maurice Stephen Daueil, housebreaking and theft, 12 months, with hard labour.
