BOATING CLUB FUNCTION

On Saturday evening members of the North-east Harbour Boating Club gathered to bid farewell to their immediate past commodore (Mr D. Jenkins). After several toasts had been honoured humorous items were contributed by Mr E. A. Gibson (past commodore) and Mr W. Timms (vice-commodore), and songs were given by Mr Arthur Fraser and Mr Joe Kane. The club presented Mr Jenkins with a pocket wallet. The ladies’ committee also held a function on Saturday night in recognition of the valuable services rendered by Mrs Jenkins, and made her a small presentation..
