COMMUNITY SINGING

Another good sing is promised for Friday, to be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hay ward) at 12.15. The Wairarapa Rugby team, which will play Otago, has been invited to the sing. In previous years visiting teams always received a great reception, and it is hoped that a large audience will give the boys from the north a warm welcome. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader, and he is arranging another good programme. Mr Alf Pettitt will be at the piano. Donations of flowers and jam are always acceptable at the_ stall, and Mrs M'lntyre, who is in charge, will be thankful for donations, which can be sent to Begg’s or to the Strand. Proceeds are for the mayor’s relief fund.
