The Senate to-day passed the Wagner Labour Disputes Bill by 63 votes to 12, many Conservatives joining the majority, although industrial interests are almost unanimously opposed to the legislation. The new 'law ip effect supersedes the highly controversial section 7a of N.R.A. and creates a permanent Labour Relations Board to guarantee workers’ rights and bargain collectively, and in so doing it virtually outlaws employer-dominated company unions.
