QUEENSLAND’S BUDGET

PRESENTED TO PARLIAMENT Press Association —By Telegraph Oopj right BRISBANE, September 26. (Received September 26, at 1.5 p.m.) The Premier (Mr Forgau Smith) presented the State Budget to Parliament. The estimated revenue tor 1934-35 is £14,348,335 and the expenditure £15,349,792. Mr Smith said that until the national income of Australia increased to an extent which would permit of a reduction in the exchange it was difficult to see how budgets could ho balanced. Expenditure in Queensland could not be further reduced without abolishing or seriously impairing the Government services.
