A BOY'S DEATH. An inquest was opened yesterday afternoon touching the death of Charles Ritchie, who was knocked down by a motor car yesterday morning at Burnside and killed instantly. Mr H. W. Bundle. S.M., sat as coroner, and after evidence of identification had been given bv the boy’s brother, Davis Thomas Lewis Ritchie, the inquest was adjourned sine die. CROSSING SMASH. Two brothers were injured this morning in a crossing smash at Springston when their car crashed into a They were William Henry Sunckell (who is suffering from injuries to his head and right leg) and Albert John Sunckell, the driver (who sustained injuries to his right arm, and is suffering from shock). Both were taken to the Christchurch •- Hospital.. Tha brothers, who reside at Halswell, ara not badlv injured. The car was reduced to matchwood.—Christchurch Press Association.
