[Pi* Uwitwt* Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, .January 31.. Swimming at a carnival in the Tepid Baths to-night, G. Low, of the Christchurch United Club, broke the Canterbury and New Zealand record of Imin 49 i-ssec for the 150yds back-stroke by 2 2-osec, his time being Imin 46 3-ssec. The Canterbury record of 3in in 9 l-ssec for the 220yds intermediate girls’ was lowered by 7 1-fiseo by Miss A. Morris, who swam the distance in 3min 2sec.
