FOUR-RINK CHAMPIONSHIP BALMACEAVEN WINS SECTION. Balmacewen won its section in the four-rink bowling championship by defeating Green Island last night. WEDNESDAY MATCH Riaeh, Rackley, Walker, Rolf (Balmacewen) 19 beat Stubley, AVilliamson, J. Campbell, and Read (Anderson’s Bay) 12. ELDERLY BOWLERS' DAY The gathering of the veteran bowlers this year will be held on the Dunedin Green on Saturday, February 10, -the principal function commencing at about 2 o’clock. A few dubs have yet ;to send in their entries, but it is hoped that by the week-end this matter will have been attended to. All matters in connection with this gathering should be addressed to the secretary, Mr George Nelson, 378 Leith street. Entries so far to hand promise well for a full green, many names from veterans outside Dunedin district being included. the ages of some being over the 90 mark.
