COMMUNITY SINGING
■ ' Tho weekly community singing session will take place to-morrow from 12.30 to 1.30 p.m. in tho Empire Theatre. The doors will be open at 12 noon. This week’s leader will be Big Brother Bill (the Rev. W. D. More), and ho will present some very interesting items. Ho has conducted sessions in Christchurch, and he is looking forward to meeting all tho Dunedin community singers at tho Empire Theatre. Miss Rita Holmes and Mr J. Gordon will sing a vocal duet, and Mr J. Gordon will render the solo, ‘ Silver Threads Among tho Gold.’ "Miss Rita Holmes will bo at the piano as usual. Last week tho largest attendance since tho season was commenced in Dunedin was recorded, and it is anticipated that another very large audience will gather to-morrow. Tho committee will bo pleased if the listeners-in who promised donations if Dunedin won tho hymn contest will send these in at their earliest convenience. Those who wish to contribute money or goods are asked to send their donations to the secretary or to tho Empire Theatre. All proceeds are for the mayor's unemployment relief fund. A party of Maori juniors from Rukcteraki will also .assist.
