PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S TRIBUTE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 17. ’ Tho foundation stono of a new Presbyterian Church at Sentoun was laid by the Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe) on Saturday afternoon. His Excellency was accompanied by Lady Blcdisloe. In tho course of his address His Excellency stated: “ Let me take this opportunity of expressing our admiration of tho activities of tho Presbyterian Church throughout the dominion and wishing God-speed to its numerous and beneficent enterprises. I have always felt at homo among the Presbyterians, for my dear Scottish mother was one, and I owe her more than I shall ever bo able to repay. But especially is it tho case here, for nowhere—not even in Scotland or Canada—is the flame of Presbyterian spiritual zeal burning more brightly than it does in this country or its torchhearers working, thank God, more harmoniously with those of other Christian communities. Such co-operation is, I am convinced, absolutely vital under modern conditions to the future immeasurable power for good of Christianity throughout tho world.”
