HUDDART, PARKER LTD. The following advice has been received from Messrs Huddart, Parker Ltd., Melbourne:—“ The directors have declared ,subject to audit, a dividend for the half-year ending December 31, 1931, of three (3) per cent on the preference shares, and two and a-half (2i) per cent, on the ordinary shares. The annual general meeting of shareholders will be held at Melbourne on March 11, The dividend will be payable on March 12, and cheques drawn on the Commercial Bank of Australia Limited, Wellington, will be posted to shareholders.” BANK OF AUSTRALIA. (Received February 26, at 1 p.m.) The Bank of Australia’s final dividend is 4s per share, subject to income tax, making 45 l-10d net; £2,000,000 of the reserve is specially allocated to cover the depreciation of the Australian assets in relation to sterling. The directors provided for bad debts and investment depreciation out of the contingency funds and transferred £85,000 from the exchange adjustiqont account to the profit account ; £151,063 was carried forward.
