At an exhibition at Invercargill last evening by the Southland team of axemen and sawyers who leave for Tasmania next week to compete in the world’s championship _ carnival, two record-breaking outs with the doublehanded saw were made by the Fraser brothers. This pair ripped through an 18in log in 13sec, and later repeated the performance, creating a New Zealand record Tire team to represent Southland is as follows: —J. Pont, H. Fraser, It. Fraser, W, Akers, W. Tillard, G. Blanks, and J. Hunter.
