CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING Mr H. IT. Henderson presided at the second annual meeting ol tlio St. Clair Lite Saving Club (incorporated), bold in tho dub's pavilion last evening. There was a fair attendance of members. REPORT AND BALANCE-SHEET. “The past season was a, quiet one, nothing outstanding having taken place. Tho weather was rather against our work,” stated the chairman in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet. Club members had done well at tho various meetings, and had been particularly successful at the provincial championship carnival. Iho carnivals had always been disappointing, and tho speaker did not think the dub had yet held a carnival that had been a financial success. The committee would have to seriously consider tho device of some means .whereby the carnivals could bo made successful financially. They could not go on year after year paying for carnivals. Jn seconding tho motion, Mr E. L. Macassoy congratulated all members who had been successful in the various meetings during tho season. Evidently the meetings hold in tho baths had been kept up, and he suggested that tho dub try out a championship meeting at tho baths. Tho club might alsobo able to raise some money through this effort if it were held. The motion was carried. OFFICE-BEARERS. ' The election of office-bearers resulted : : —Patron, tho Hon. W. B. Rodgcrson (re-elected); Selection Committee: —Messrs J. L. MMndoo, J. Lewis, and tJ. Swan; hon. medical officials—Drs Murray, Carswell, Greenslade, and Anderson. GENERAL. The question regarding a meeting in tho baths was referred to the incoming committee. . On tho motion of tho president it was decided that no one except financial members of tho club could make use of the club’s pavilion. It was also decided that unless an intending member paid his subscription by December 15 ho be prevented from using the pavilion.
