(Received September 10, at 11.15 a.m.) A message from Corsica states that tb© commander of a French submarine, upon ascending two miles from the coast, rubbed his eyes with amazement on seeing a girl swimming to his ship She waved a hand and called in English: “May I como aboard and have a look round.” Tho hatchway was opened, and the bather was charmingly welcomed and entertained. She proved to be a noted swimmer (Miss Rutter). She spent half an hour in the submarine. Then she dived from the conning tower and swam ashore, where she was on holiday.
