Hampshire: First innings, 98 (Freeman, four for 28). Kent won on the first innings. Sussex: First innings, 243 (Allen, four for 41) i second, 72 (Allen, live for 31; Peebles, five for S). Middlesex: First innings, 214 (Hendren 74; Langridge, six for 86); second, one for 104). Middlesex iron by nine wickets. Warwickshire versus Derby was abandoned, drawn. Somerset; First innings, 123 (Parker, seven for 44); second, 82 (Parker, six for 29). Gloucester: First innings, 181 (Hammond not out 100; Young, five for 61); second, one for 26). Gloucester won by nine wickets. Lancashire: First innings, six for 284 declared (E. Tyldesley 107, Iddon 70). Yorkshire: First innings, 125 (Macdonald, seven for 58). Lancashire won on the first innings. Northants: First innings, 144; second, one for 61. Leicester: First innings, 170. Leicester won on the first innings, Worcester: First innings, 128. Essex: First innings, five for 180, declared. Essex won on the first innings.
