AMENDED ARBITRATION BILL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CANBERRA, August 5. The Conciliation and Arbitration Bill, which has been amended almost out of recognition by the Senate, was passed by the chamber to-day. The Labour members declared that the Bill was not now worth twopence. Senator Lawson, a member of the Opposition, said that the giving _of arbitrational powers to the conciliation commissioners, as provided for in the Bill, was a fundamental error, which would impede the arbitration machinery.
