RUINED PALACE

INTERESTING FIND IN HYDERABAD Prett Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. DELHI, August 13. A remarkable discovery was made near Hyderabad (Sind), whore a big underground hall, with a roof supported by three great stone pillars and three ante-chambers shrouded in dust, were found under the ruins of the palace of the former Bunas of Parkar. Heavy floods caused the river to overflow into a nearby lakea and the entrance to the cave was exposed; but it was immediately sealed and guarded by Government orders. It is recalled that in 1859 the British dethroned the lianas and burned their palacey following upon a mutiny, and the local inhabitants for many years believed that the site contained an underground cave filled with treasure, which was guarded by snakes placed there by the Ranas, who. before they wore deposed, ruled a large portion of Sind. —Australian Press Association.
