MR HUGH i'MAGHTEH VICE-PROYOST OF ETON. Pr**« Aisociation —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 13. The death is announced of Mr Hugh MacNaghten, vice-provost of Eton. It was a tragic end to the life of a brilliant classical scholar of great influence at Eton, where he was educated. Ho had been a master there since 18S(i. He bad been in poor health for a year, and be disappeared last week. Suicide was feared, and dragging operations in the Thames were followed until the hotly was found floating near Windsor. —Australian Press Assqciation-United Service.
