The Wellington Association’s tournament to decide the amateur champions for 1929-30 was concluded last night, when some promising form was witnessed in the semi-finals. There was another good house. Knopp beat C. Woods. —Feather-weight.— Final.—C. Hoskin beat F. Keith. —Light-weight.— Semi-final. —G. Thomas beat J. Jackson. Final.—G. Thomas beat H. Thomas. The judges disagreed in this bout, and the referee (Mr Earl Stewart) gave his decision for G. Thomas. The verdict was ironically received, and it was announced immediately that both brothers would be sent to the New Zealand championship tourney. —Welter-weight.— Semi-final.—P J. Stone knocked out F. Norris in the first round. Pinal.— p. J. Stone knocked out N. Croft in the second round. —Middle-weight.— J. Connors won by default. —Light-heavy-weight-Final.—W. Pearce beat J.
