For the next Tew months it will not bo the lorru of Irish-bred winners of racing handicaps that will" bo discussed—bill tbo performances ol racing cars. Both Belfast and Dublin are promoting; motor races 'or tbo coming summer. Both expert a golden harvest Belfast led last year with its Ulster Tourist 'Tro|ihy, v.diich attracted about a. quarter ol a million people to the Xewtowmmls conrsc. Dublin is to bold a two-day meeting Ibis year on July ] 2 and 13 tn Phoenix Park. Belfast is repeating last year’s onc-day event on August 17. Fiftysix competitors, representing six countries, are to take part in the Ulster event. There are about sixty competitors from eight countries for .bo two-day Dublin meeting in Phoenix Park, where the mad is now being widened. Tho monument is being removed so that the course may be free of obstruction. A grand stand to bold 3,000 is to be specially built for the occasion. About BjO Civic Guards and Free State soldiers are to keep tho course clear.
