CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
SALE OF WORK. There was a large attendance at the opening of tho annual sale of work of the Congregational Church, King street, last evening. Mr J. H. Wilkinson, in opening the sale, re 1 erred to the fine spirit of .loyalty and devotion which had animated tho members of the church in every period of its history. Tastefully decorated, and laden with a wide range of articles,the stalls presented a rather attractive appearance, and good business was recorded. Side shows, competitions, and excellent music from an Edison phonograph added greatly to the general atmosphere of animation. Tho sale will be continued to-night, when tho various stalls will bo replenished with fresh supplies. The stall-holders are:— Ladies’ Guild Stall.— Mesdames Ellis, Alonson, Thomas, Oliver, Abernethy, Sinclair. Fancy Stall. —Miss E. Laing, Mrs J. Jennings, Misses A. Good, W. and E. Bcnfell. Sweets Stall.—Misses E. Warne, G. Fraser, Mrs J. H. Oliver. Cake Stall.—Misses M. Dryden and M. Dawson. Produce Stall.—Messrs G. and H. Abernethy. Tea Rooms.—Mesdames Zafi'cr and Barton and assistants. Jumble Stall.—Mesdames A. J, Burk and W. Paterson and Messrs G. Dyer and E. E. Wilkinson. Ice Cream Stall.—Mr R. Abernethy. Side Shows.—Mr E. J. Johnston.
