SETTLEMENT 1H AUSTRALIA A LOAN AGREEMENT. SYDNEY, November S. (Received November 8, at 10 a.m.) After a conference between the State Cabinet and Mr Amerv, Mr Bavin said that the Government intended to sign an agreement between the Federal and the British Governments whereby £34,000,000 is being lent to the Commonwealth for the settlement of British migrants. ’ The States signing the agreement are entitled to a share in this money. Mr Lang’s Government refused to sign the agreement.
