ACCIDENT DURING RAGES JOCKEY FATALLY INJURED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PERTH; December 29. (Received December 29, at 11 a.m.) Derby Day was marred by a. serious accident. In the Karrakatta Plate, when rounding the turn, one horse fell, bringing down four others. Alfred Todd, an apprentice, riding Merry Beggar, was so seriously injured that he lied in hospital. A jockey named Dorry was also taken to hospital, seriously injured. Two horses were badly hurt, and had to be destroyed.
