DISCOVERY OF OPALS
NEW SOUTH WALES INDICATIONS OF WIDE FIELD. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, December 29. (Received December 29, at 10.50 a.m.) A new discovery of opals is reported on the Grawin field. It has led to a great influx of miners from Lightning Ridge. The present diggings are about half a mile from the diggings .vhich were worked twenty years ago. Very valuable “bulk” is coming from hvo claims. There are indications that Ihe field is extensive, as the claims are jot adjoining.
