A NEW VOICE
MISS GLADYS LORIMER’S RECITAL Dunedin concort-goers will he interested to learn that a young vocalist has arisen, whom experts consider will assuredly bo ranked among great singers in the near future. This is Miss Gladys Lorimer, a brilliant coloratura soprano, who has had a thorough and intensive training under Signor Antonio Notariello. Immediately after her New Zealand tour Miss Lorimer is leaving for Europe to gain experience in the operatic world, for which her talents and attainments eminently suit her. This gifted ’ young _ singer will give an operatic recital in His Majesty's Theatre on Tuesday, November 3Q, when she will present a very line programme of operatic arias and modern songs. As this will bo the only opportunity for the Dunedin music lovers to Jiear this new voice prior to the singer’s departure, it is anticipated that a full house will be present to offer encouragement to her, and wish her success in her future career, which will certainly reflect honor not only on herself, but also on her native country, New Zealand.
