(Received June 12, at 1.30 a.m.) Prior to the rush to the Elandsputte diamond field, the mounted police cleared tho ground man - an area of twelve square miles.- Approximately .10,000 diggers assembled, seven and eight deep, at the starting lino, which , was one and a-half miles long. Tho diggers were clad in a variety of costumes, from running togs to Oxford hags. The groat rush was accompanied by a hoarse roar from thousands of throats mil clouds of dust. Tho rush was witnessed by 10,000 spectators—Reuter.
