(Received June 12, at 10.5 a.m.) The coal strike position is unaltered, but it is generally expected that the compulsory conference to be hold on Monday will result in a settlement of the trouble. Tho restrictions placed on gas consumers in Sydney have resulted in a reduction of 30 per cent, in the gasworks output. With the arrival of a shipment of coal and tho promise of further supplies the restrictions are being interpreted liberally.
