BUTTER AND CHEESE. LONDON, August 13. Butter is firm, and business is small. New Zealand choicest salted, 19Gs to 198 s; Australian, 192 s to 1945; unsalted, about 4s prein.; Danish, 2165. Cheese is rather easier. Now Zealand, 108 s to 190 s; Australia, 106 s. WHEAT, LONDON, August 13. Wheat cargoes are firm in sympathy with American and Canadian advices, but tho new German import duty, wliich will operate on August 25, is exercising a quietening influence. Parcels closed quieter to Cd up. Liverpool futures; October (sellers) Its 4Jd per contql. December 10s 9Jd. Tho spot trade is slow. Australian (ex ship), 625. Flour is steady. Australian , (cx store), 43. s 3d. Oats, peas, and beans are quiet. Sugar: Granulated, 30s 10Jd. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
