NEW YORK, August 13. Pola Nenri has deposited 57,000d0l with the Clnstems iu full payment of the duties and penalties iihposcd in connection with her undeclared jewellery wliich was seized in May last.— Reuter.
[When Pol a. Negri returned to Now York from Europe on May 2 last she failed to declare three pieces of jewellery valued at 300,090 francs. The Customs officers also seized sixteen bottles of liquor and broke them against the deck railings, fining Pola Negri odol for each bottle. She undertook to pay whatever lino was assessed.]
