TROUBLES OF HOBBS. LONDON. August-3, J, B, Hobbs, in an article in the ‘Weekly Despatch,’ refers to the impatience of the public for him to score the century which will make his aggregate of hundreds equal to that of W. G. Grace. Hobbs says lie has no cricket nerves, but now for the first time is having a foretaste of what a nervous breakdown may be. Ho is pestered night and day by editors for interviews on everything that happens in the cricket world, being frequently called out of bed to the ’pbonC; while interviewers often penetrate tho seclusion of his homo. Ho also complains of the persistence of autograph hunters.
